=/= "Kolten Robinson, for the crime of striking the greatly honored Evek you are sencenced to death. There is no trial, no defence. You are allowed to speak and confess your crime and beg for mercy, that is just. You will be excecuted regardless, that is just. I will torture you to death as an example to all others who would defy us, that is just." The evil Cardassian gorgon smiled with malevolence and continued: "Speak now Kolten, if you wish to. Make it good." =/=

Gen stared, transfixed by the broadcast from the Cardassians. The evil Cardassian witch had Kolten Robinson in her clutches and was now showing everyone how she did her work as torturer; it was all being broadcast to all the nearby Federation ships, outposts, and anywhere else that would receive the message from Star Base Horizon. Especially to Admiral Robinson, his father.

Watching this broadcast and not being able to do anything about it made the half-Betazoid's blood boil. She wanted, oh so wanted, to take that Cardassian woman by her throat and beat her to a bloody pulp. The knifes, weapons, and Litak's knowledge for pain points on a humanoid didn't faze Gen one bit -- after all, she was a doctor and knew about those things too.

But here she was, stuck on this blasted ship feeling helpless. So she was a green-horn, so what? She desperately wished to be there with the Admiral's son, trying to help him escape.

As the broadcast went on, Gen had to sit down, breathing heavily and trying to calm herself down. She wasn't doing any good getting riled up and then pouting.

She sat down on a nearby sick bed and slouched, putting her head in her hands and not caring who in the universe saw. Oh, how she wished to Buddha and the Four Deities that she was a Vulcan at that moment -- that was the moment when emotions really sucked.

Gen didn't even know anybody around her well, especially the Admiral and his son. All the same, it tore at her what the Cardassians were doing to them. She hated Cardassians with a passion that blazed like a wildfire from within her. Ever since her dear Ojii-san's (uncle's) death at the hand of a Cardassian battle raid, she had developed this hatred and would never let anything sway her away from it.

Oh, Buddha... the Betazoid girl silently prayed, please help the Lieutenant... please...

Sakura Hoshi is Japanese and translates into "Cherry Blossom Star".

I play a Star Trek role-play game that's one of those play-by-email games. I decided that I should put together my contributions to Starbase Horizon so that you guys could read them.

Yeah... Crap.

Gen does not specifically belong to any religion, but she believes in both Buddha of Earth and the Four Deities of Betazed. I can kinda relate to it because I do believe in things not taught by the Mormon church, but I don't go as far to believe in more than one god. Gen does though, apparently...

Note: Please comment on these! People fave them, but they don't say what they like about it! I want to hear from you!!!!
